An intimate winter weekend of nature + movement + breath + connection in the mountains. If you have been curious about the peaceful beauty of cross-country skiing, this is your weekend! Perfect for both absolute beginners as well as experienced cross country skiers, this retreat will be limited to a small group, so that everyone can learn and play at their own pace.
Along with the adventures of gliding through a snowy forest, picture yourself fireside in deep conversations, journaling while enjoying warm drinks, practicing simple and slow yoga with emphasis on just ‘being’-- restorative shapes, states of expansion, deep breathing, connection + contact. And don’t forget about the food! We will ski through the forest to lunch each day, arriving at a backcountry yurt restaurant and refuel ourselves with hearty meals made with locally sourced ingredients.

Meet your guide
LEDA
Leda has been xc-skiing since she was a child in the woods of Northern Michigan, and now as an adult, she has grown passionate about teaching the joyful art of ‘skinny skiing.’ She’s already transformed all of her best friends into xc-skiers. The serene magic of the woods in the winter acts as her muse, whispering nature’s message to slow down, be present and listen.

ITINERARY:
FRIDAY Your arrival time is flexible! (**transportation to Leadville is not included)
1pm - Optional lunch date meet, greet + shop til you drop, for those who would like to arrive earlier in the day (*early arrival lunch not included).
4pm - Check into lodging + enjoy some warm bevvies and new friends.
6pm - Welcome Dinner!
8pm - Rest + digest - restorative yoga, calming pranayama, journaling and fireside conversations
9:30 - You do you! Hit the bar or hit the hay…
SATURDAY
7:30am - Coffee + tea + morning pages (journaling)
8am - Invigorating pranayama practice and gentle morning mini flow
9am - Breakfast
9:45am - Depart for Nordic center
10am - Gear up + ski our hearts out!
1:30pm - Ski to lunch at the Cookshouse Yurt
2:30pm - Ski out and head back to lodging
4pm - You do you! A moment to rest fireside with friends, take a nap, or go shopping!
6:30 - Dinner at lodging
8pm - Restore and Snore - the laziest yoga practice of your life - all the props
SUNDAY
7:30am - Coffee + tea + morning pages
8:00am - Invigorating pranayama practice + gentle morning mini flow (time dependent)
9:00am - Breakfast
10am - Check out of lodging + depart for Nordic center
10:15am - Gear up and ski!!
1:30pm - Ski to farewell lunch at the Cookshouse Yurt
2:30pm - You do you! - You will have a trail pass for the whole day and are welcome to keep skiing or hit the road home!
